My Story
I am a Hakomi Graduate with a background as a music educator and professional musician. My work in education has influenced the way I approach therapeutic work, particularly through the experience of building one-to-one relationships in which trust, safety and curiosity can develop over time. Years of performing have honed my ability to listen closely, remain present and attune to subtle shifts in expression, emotion and embodied experience. Whilst music gave me an embodied and intuitive understanding of the relationship between body, emotion and thought, Hakomi has given me a framework for recognising, articulating and working with these connections.
